WHERE IT BEGAN.
Founded in 1996, RFA Capital began as a Canadian-owned real estate investment and asset management firm with a range of debt and equity platforms. Building on this foundation, we expanded into financial services with the launch of RFA Mortgage Corporation in 2018, a prime residential mortgage lender with an innovative and entrepreneurial approach. The following year, we strengthened our capabilities through the acquisition of Street Capital Group Inc., a regulated lender with a Schedule I bank license, enhancing our presence in alternative, commercial, and construction lending.
In recent years, we have continued to scale and diversify our platform. In 2024, we acquired an interest in Five Continents Financial Ltd., a leading wealth and investment manager located in the Cayman Islands. Most recently, on February 1, 2026, we merged with Artis REIT, a $2B+ diversified real estate investment trust, forming RFA Financial (TSX: RFA)—a publicly traded, diversified platform positioned for long-term growth.
